The Tawny Pipit Anthus campestris research project – Italy
The WWF Sagittario Gorge Reserve in the Abruzzo Region – Italy funded a research project to study the ecology and migration of the Tawny Pipit. This grassland species is protected under the EU „Birds” Directive. Our study area in called „Olmo di Bobbi” and it is at 1200 m asl In this site the Tawny Pipit reach very high density of pairs. We are ringing each individual with a unique colour combination and we are tagging birds with geolocators to track their migration routes. For information: a.de
